this sem break i go ipoh again with 2 other bez frens, fongtee n sukphin
we stay in my bf house...(easier n save money)
my bf bring us to eat all the deli food n travel all the fun places in ipoh...
1st day we go eat the onn kee ya cai ji.... vry deli, the chicken skin is so Q n the sauce is the bez in ipoh.... the tauke oso bigger than the johor one.... truely heaven food.... we oso eat the feng jiao n meat ball in thr.... bt if u cnt speak Cantonese well when u eat ya chai ji thr then u will nd to be the yuan da tou nd to pay more money then the normal price.... coz all the food in onn kee din hv a specific price n the bill is determine by the tauke thr... so if u reali wan go try deli ya chai ji thr bring a local ppl go will be better....
The 2nd day, we plan to go to nan tian tong, ling xian yan n sam poh tong....
so we wake up on the early morning then we go to eat dian xin in Fun San...
reali deli dian sin thr... n crowded of ppl even we ad try go thr earlier... so we need to stand thr wait other ppl finish then quickly snatch the table coz nt onli many ppl sit down eat bt oso gt many ppl stand thr wait to eat... bt for the good deli dian sin, all willing to wait it....
thr are various type of dian sin i nvr try in johor n all is very deli... bt if u wan try all kind of dian sin in Fun San then i think u nd prepay lot of money thr lol... haha... coz reali too many... bt is pity i din gt chance to eat the xiao long bao thr coz it is stop making when we jux sit down eat....
then after eat breakfast, we go to the caves in gunung rapat by taxi...
we oso go visit all the tokong thr....
haha.... reali hot day in ipoh.... bt we vry geng cn go almoz all the caves temple in gunung rapat about 5km south of Ipoh.....
Ling Xian Yan is a quite new n beautifully design temple....
u cn cum pray in this temple coz thr gt many types of deities include the sun wu kong, datuk gong n....)
in this temple u cn see all the chinese legend and traditional characters...
like the 12 chinese zodiac animals, xi you ji characters (sun wu kong, tang sen...), guan ying, ru lai, ji gong, yue xia lao ren, hua tuo, si da jin gang....
those are the characters build in the temple garden.... so tourist cn take photo with them...
beside that, u oso cn try ur luck to throw ur praying syiling into the plate of the deity to pray for some specific wish....
for example, throw in the yue xia lao ren hold plate to pray a good love fate cum....
throw to cai sen is to pray for money cum.... if u wan buy the TOTO or 4D, u cn try ur luck to throw 4 - 6 numbers in the numbers plate then throw ur syiling to the toad plate to pray to get more more money when u buy the numbers...
u cn wash ur face n hand with the mountain water cum out from dragon mouth.... to wash out ur dirt in ur heart....
u cn oso use the guang yin water to wash face to pray for her bless..... bt rmb burn a joss stick to guang yin to thank her bless.
Nan Tian Tong is a taoist cave temple... it is believe that the nan tian dong is use to host the various Buddhist deities from the southern heaven....
so inside the cave u cn c various of deities.....
beside that there is even a staircase of 138 steps which lead visitors near the top of this range which covers 4 main cave temples.... bt tat day we go... the 4 main cave temples on the top is closed. so pity we cnt go visit it.
bt i oso dun dare to walk up the 138 steps.... bcoz i scare high n the stairs is reali long n quite high...
it is belive that Nan Tian Dong has another hidden cave of even larger scale at is back via the passage way at the main hall... bt we din find it... mayb is closed too....
on the garden of nan tian tong.... thr are a big lake with various type of fresh water fish... n thr oso a temple called nan tian shui shang guang yin temple..... bt tat dy we reali difficult to walk thru the bridge on the lake to tat temple... tat is bcoz plenty of tropical monkeys are cum down from the mountain to wait on the bridge to gain tourist food.... if u reali wan to see the view of the monkeys surround u fighting for the food , then u cn buy the groundnuts from the shop in the nan tian tong garden... then feeds as many monkey as u cn..... bt dun worry.... the monkeys thr are quite good.... they din dare to snatch the food on tourists hand... they jux take wat u throw to them.... bt tourists please dun throw any empty bottles or plastics thr coz the monkey will try to open the bottles finish the less n throw the rubbish in the lake.... it is vry bad for the fish in the lake....
y i will said like this coz i saw a monkey drink the pepsi that throw by tourist n then the monkey jux throw the empty can inside the lake.....
Sam Poh Tong is the biggest cave temple in the country, and is an impressive work of art and faith, with various statues of Buddha interspersed among the stalactites and stalagmites.
The present temple facade dates back to the 1950s and a stiff climb of 246 steps will lead you to an open cave with an excellent view of Ipoh and its surroundings, bt my frens walk up jux few steps onli c the closed sign thr... so pity we cnt discover the excellent view of ipoh from the cave.
Inside the cave, thr gt a beautiful garden surrounded by mountains n a beautiful honor temple is build thr... bt is nt allowed for visit... so we ux cn c its view outside the temple. in the garden there is a large pond full of tortoises... reali lots of them.... tourists cn feed them with vegetables which buy from an old lady on the sam poh tong entrance.... some of the tortoises thr are truely very big... jux like a small dinosaur inside the pond....
Other attractions at the temple include a beautiful Japanese pond full of Japanese carps and tortoises (symbols of longevity) located outside the cave. thr is reali nice view garden.... we take lots of pic thr....
u cn buy a nice sweet cane juice on the sam poh tong entrance.... it truely like a heaven water after u finish all the caves in gunung rapat on the sunny day....
after visit the cave.... tourist ll go the local food products shop opposite the ling xian yan to buy some local food bck....
bt we ad buy the local products from the Yu Tai local products shop on the day we arrive ipoh... the Yu Tai shop is near the Onn Kee ya chai ji... thr are more type of local food products than the shop opposite ling xian yan....
